Here it is! The latest issue of knit wear (spring 2013) and I am so excited.
The family and I spent most of the day downtown. Our last stop was to the Beehive Wool Shop and there on the magazine rack I spotted the magazine. I looked through it and immediately thought that I needed to have it... But it is a bit pricey... So I wandered around the store and browsed around at all the pretty yarns. And all I could see was all the wonderful knitted projects from that magazine... all knitted in every colour imaginable. So I decided that I would just get the magazine. :)
Then we stopped at Michaels because some of the Lion Brand Sock Ease yarn was clearance-priced and I was searching for --> THIS colour green (called "Green Apple".) They had three balls left so I scooped them up! Woot!
On a completely different note... We stopped at the Curious Comics downtown and I couldn't believe my eyes. There in front of me were two My Little Pony comic books... Sooo we scooped them up too ~.^
The Music In My Mind, Mommyhood & Maintaining My Sanity I am a mommy. I am a wife. I am a dreamer. I like to read. I like geeky things... And I like to make stuff.

Knitting: Yay! New Books!!!
So my order from amazon.ca arrived today... SQUEEE!
I got Knits Men Want and Knit Notes.
Knit Notes is a notebook/design journal to help with designing your own knitting patterns. There's lots of room to jot down ideas and inspirations. There are places to attach yarn samples, swatches & pictures of the finished projects... as well as graph paper pages to sketch out your designs. I think I will have fun filling this book up with my ideas :)
Knits Men Want was a book I borrowed from the library and immediately fell in love with it... So naturally... I had to have it! :D It was the book that my husband found the pattern for his first project in. It has some great patterns for men in it. It's a little ambitious for me right now since there are more sweater patterns in it than anything else (since I'm kinda new to making sweaters) but I find most of them are classic styles that men (at least the men in MY life) would actually like... AND actually wear. So it's definitely something for me to work towards. Yay!
